13.3.2 Assimilation of Bilabials
Bilabial /m,p,b/ become labiodental [ɱ,p̪,b̪] before /f,v/. The alveolar /n/ may also become [ɱ] in this context: comfortable, infant, shopfloor, obvious, in vain, on fire.
