Diana de Vries-Zhuravleva is Lecturer of Russian Language Proficiency at the University of Groningen. Her research and teaching interests focus on Second Language Development within a usage-based perspective, Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) and Film and Language Integrated Learning (FLIL).

Yuliya Kazanova is Lecturer of English for Academic Purposes at the University of Groningen. Her research interests include twentieth-century English literature and contemporary Ukrainian poetry.

Marjolijn Verspoor is Professor Emeritus of English Language at the University of Groningen, Netherlands and Professor of Applied Linguistics at the University of Pannonia, Hungary. Her main research interests are second language development from a dynamic usage based perspective and instructional approaches in foreign language teaching.
