Dit open tekstboek, getiteld Voorbij de kaart: De wereld buiten Europa beschreven in Joan Blaeu’s Grooten Atlas, is volledig tweetalig. Alle hoofdstukken en onderdelen zijn zowel in het Engels als in het Nederlands gepubliceerd. Via het drop-down menu aan de linkerkant zijn alle secties te bekijken en ziet u snel of deze Nederlands- of Engelstalig zijn. Uitzondering vormen de zogeheten studentbijdragen waar de teksten in het Nederlands en Engels samen zijn gevoegd.

This open textbook, titled Beyond the Map: Descriptions of the non-European World in Joan Blaeu’s Atlas Maior, is fully bilingual. All chapters and parts are published in both English and Dutch. The sections can be viewed via the drop-down menu on the left and you can easily see whether they are in Dutch or English. The so-called student contributions are the exception where we chose to offer the texts in both Dutch and English on the same page.
